Hi-Note is located in the heart of Alphabet City & East Village. We host community radio, featuring live radio sets and original programming. Day and night, we serve a range of offerings from coffee, craft cocktails, natural wine, and beer alongside a selection of small plates. We’re looking for a General Manager to partner with and grow Hi-Note. We’re interested in people looking to build something, care about community, and radio. Hi-Note is open from 8am - 2am with many radio hosts broadcasting throughout the day. We’re looking for someone who can manage team leads, processes effectively to cover the time period. Looking for someone to use design and innovation to solve problems rather doing everything themselves. This person would ensure the team feels supported and maintain joy in the culture. What we’re looking for Strong and consistent leader for both front and back of house Effective and consistent communicator with ownership, leads, customers, and staff Experience with technology: slack, notion, google docs Aligned with hospitality means being on the customer’s side Able to lift 25-50 pounds and can stand for 4-8 hours 1+ years in a lead or general management role Experience/interest in craft cocktails, wine, craft beer, and coffee preferred What you’ll be doing Oversee the execution of all day-to-day operations, financial performance, staffing, training, payroll, human resources and compliance Respond to all slack, email, text message communication within one day Meet with owners to review P&L and the backlog of investments and improvements Raise issues/improvements readily and then come up with a plan to resolve Manage all inventory and ordering to maintain service Be on call to manage and respond to any emergency situation on site Directly manage all staff including training, maintaining hospitality and quality standards, scheduling of all shifts, and payroll Develop and document processes to streamline operations Own metrics for customer satisfaction and staff satisfaction Lead hiring for all positions aligned with Hi-Note values Ensure all health and legal regulations of the space in collaboration with ownership Maintain facility and work with contractors to facilitate any repairs Weekly report of all staff and customer operations Check us out at: https://www.hi-note.nyc https://www.theinfatuation.com/new-york/reviews/hi-note https://www.grubstreet.com/2023/04/alphabet-city-restaurants-nyc.html https://www.timeout.com/newyork/bars/hi-note
